The Easy(er) Button for AI Adoption

OpenAI released prompt packs to help users be more efficient

Microsoft is giving its AI assistant an animated face to make people more comfortable

With AI companies trying to quickly build the easy button, why do so many teams still feel stuck?

One possibility: accessibility ≠ adoption.

One of the biggest differences we see between teams that actually adopt AI and those that don’t?

Successful teams understand that trying to make AI accessible isn’t all that’s required to make AI adopted.

Team members with a giant menu (tons of prompt libraries, long list of new tools)...

And a small appetite (limited hours and maxed to-do lists)...

Aren’t going to take many bites.

Tiny but mighty usually wins!!

The good news is that the fix is simpler than it looks. Instead of trying to arm your team with all the ways to use AI, narrow in on the onramps that build speed, momentum and habits.

One of our clients was having major adoption hurdles – they had multiple solutions built with almost no usage. The team just didn’t feel comfortable yet with AI.

So we did an onramp project – a tiny but mighty use case – and it changed everything. The team got momentum, ideas flowed on old projects and we had overcome a major hurdle.

To find tiny but mighty opportunities:

  • Look at what work gets done in the business

  • Choose a few tiny but mighty playbooks that are 1) fast to build, and 2) support a very specific workflow

  • Stack micro-wins that make team members hungry for more.

We get it.

Everyone knows AI is moving fast.

The temptation is real: flood your team with options and hope magic happens.

But the companies that win in the future are the ones taking time today to start small, build habits and build systems. (And have an AI Operator to own this process!)

SPEAKING OF AN AI OPERATOR

The Next AI Operator Bootcamp Begins December 1st

Our most recent AI Operator Bootcamp cohort sold out quickly. That’s why we’re opening enrollment early for our third cohort, starting this December.

Highly recommend getting your application in early if you’re interested.

Here’s what some of our recent graduates students are saying:

“As an operations person, I know the future of my career is going to be grounded in my ability to use AI effectively… After the bootcamp, I feel like I’m one step ahead of where the rest of the operating world is going to be.” – Rose D.

“Being able to feel confident about diving into a new CRAFT project with a client right away is definitely a testament to how good this bootcamp was.” —  Amanda L.

“The course was a huge leap forward. It gave me hands-on strategies to embed AI into real workflows, no fluff, just actionable frameworks.  Great mix of community insights, practical examples, and expert-driven frameworks helped me to start implementing AI with confidence.” —  Sonny S.
