HOT NEWS 🔥
Microsoft briefing today - and we're bringing live updates!
Microsoft is hosting a surprise event today with Bing ChatGPT and other AI news expected. And we’ve got boots on the ground. Rachel is attending and will be posting realtime updates on TikTok. We’ll also share a full debrief after the event.
Sam Altman, CEO of OpenAI, already shared this picture on Twitter with Satya Nadella, Microsoft CEO.
TODAY'S PERSPECTIVE
Applying AI should be as simple as checking "YES"
And we've got a checklist to help you do just that.
Each week, we bring insights, tips, and explanations to arm you with the knowledge to apply AI in your business or work.
But we know - figuring out where to start using AI can be a daunting task.
And to make matters worse, there are real limitations with today's AI systems which means using AI for some things is a "heck yes" while other ideas are best kept on the sidelines.
We made you a checklist to help! ✅
Identify a process currently being done by you or your team. Then walk through the check list below.

Are you applying AI yet?
We're a newsletter that cares. We win when you win. So we want to know how you're doing. And we'll share the results of this poll in our Thursday newsletter!

USE CASE DEEP DIVE
Generate Midjourney prompts with ChatGPT
We’ve all seen some mind blowing AI-generated art. But if you’re like us, when you try out models like DALL-E, Midjourney, or Stable Diffusion for yourself, you struggle to come up with these elusive “great prompts.”
So why not use one AI to help you use another (a bit of AI-ception perhaps)?
We’ve been using ChatGPT to help us generate prompts for Midjourney and here’s how you can too:
Ask ChatGPT to describe, in detail, your desired image
Note: You can even leverage ChatGPT’s memory and reinforcement learning to refine your output to contain all desired aspects of your image. i.e. “Edit your description to include a bear in the background”
Ask ChatGPT to “trim down" the prompt by taking out the filler words and extra grammar
Edit and add some Midjourney specific verbiage at the end
Our final example prompt was: "Highly-realistic illustration, hiker arms outstretched, serene, calming, valley lake, sunrise, tall snow-covered pine trees, peaceful, beautiful, slightly muted warm colors orange, pink, sun, golden light, landscape, breathtaking beauty, surroundings, deep blue, water, ripples, gentle breeze, inviting feel, tranquil atmosphere, awe-inspiring beauty, nature, rolling hills, blue, green, distant peaks, shrouded mist, dream-like atmosphere, small, grandeur, essence --v 4 --q 2"
Then, once you have 2-3 “good” prompts, use ChatGPT to generate even more prompts using the good prompts as example templates.
If you’d like to read more into this strategy, check out this article. And if you’re looking for more of a beginner’s guide to getting started with Stable Diffusion - check out this resource.
We hope this helps to get you on the right track to becoming a Midjourney power user!
